New take on freedom.
We don’t follow routines — we create them.
We choose where to work, where to meet, where to feel alive.
That’s freedom. And it’s exactly why we started The Miners.

Meet Egor & Olda
Since launching in 2019, we've established Prague's most remarkable specialty coffee chain. As of 2025, The Miners operates 19 coffee shops across Czechia, Spain, Poland, and Austria.

We're continuing our exciting growth with 20 new locations opening throughout 2025. Soon, you'll be able to visit The Miners in Germany, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Malta.

As we aim to become Europe's leading specialty coffee brand, we invite passionate partners to join us on this journey.

Not average coffee shop chain.

We reject “average” in all forms: taste, service, design, attitude. The only average we tolerate is the bill. Because, yes, being financially smart is cool. Everything else? We’re here to break the mold, not fit into it.
The Miners is a mix of amazing spaces, great people and exceptional coffee.

Simply as that.

The Brand
  • Own specialty coffee
We source the highest quality coffee beans from the best growers around the world and roast them in-house to perfection.
  • Recognisable brand
Our young and attractive brand is perfect for the urban professional on-the-go, with a distinctive logo and stylish shops that catch your eye.
  • Perfectly crafted menu
Our menu is a work of barista art, with classic and seasonal drinks constantly updated to keep you coming back for more.
  • Wide product range
We offer more than just coffee — from drips and bins to capsules and canned drinks, plus carefully curated merchandise.
  • Young urban community
We're all about bringing together a community of young, creative urbanites who share our passion for great coffee, with our shops as the perfect place to work, study, or hang out.
  • Incredible atmosphere
Our thoughtfully designed spaces provide the perfect backdrop for productivity and creativity, whether it's a big project or just a few hours of relaxation.
That's not a hobby.
5 of 10 coffee shops will fail in the first 2 years.

Because they took it as a hobby.

We build it as a business. Fun, but business.

Great coffee, simply.
So, what the hell is specialty coffee?
It’s not what you had at the gas station.
It’s not what your office machine spits out.
It’s not what your parents brewed in 1997.
It scores 80+ on the official coffee nerd scale (yeah, that’s a thing).

It’s traceable to actual farms, not “somewhere in South America.”

It’s clean, complex, and full of flavor — berries, florals, cocoa, citrus — all naturally in the bean. No syrups needed.

Specialty coffee is a |
It'a an experience.
This isn’t just a trend. It’s a full-on movement. And The Miners is built for it.
What’s driving the rise of specialty coffee
  • Conscious consumption & demand for quality
People are moving from quantity to quality. They want transparency, traceability, real flavor, and ethical sourcing — and specialty coffee delivers all of that.
  • Youth culture & lifestyle shifts
Millennials and Gen Z are turning cafés into second homes — for work, connection, and identity. They don’t just drink coffee; they live the brand that reflects their values.
  • Fatigue with mass-market mediocrity
Generic chains, bland coffee, fake smiles — consumers are over it. They’re looking for authenticity, craft, and spaces that feel human, not manufactured.
Specialty coffee is coffee with standards.
Grown on purpose. Roasted with intent. Brewed with skill. And tasted with awe.

We source top-tier beans from badass growers and green beans sourcers who know their craft. No fluff — just real relationships and real quality.

Everything’s roasted in-house at our Prague roastery, where we drop fresh origins and bold flavor combos on the regular.

He’s also been a judge at two big coffee competitions: the Barista of the Year sensory competition in the Czech Republic since 2018 and the Brewers
Our products
A specialty coffee shop isn’t just about the coffee.
It’s walking in and thinking, “Hell yes, this feels right.”
It’s the space.
The product.
The vibe.
Not just a franchise. A movement you join.
For doers, builders, and believers — our franchise model is made for those who don’t do average.

Choosing the right spot
Up to 40% of coffee shops close within first years — and the wrong space is a big reason why. Foot traffic, visibility, layout, neighborhood — it all matters. That’s why at The Miners, we treat location scouting like a science. Because even the best coffee can’t save a bad address.
Location rules: what works, what doesn’t
  • 6,000+ people passing daily
High foot traffic is non-negotiable — we go where the energy flows.
  • Low foot traffic
If people aren’t walking by, they’re not walking in. Quiet streets = quiet sales.
  • Prime street visibility
Corner spots, wide windows, big signage — your shop should be seen before it’s even found.
  • No visibility
Hidden entrances, back courtyards, or second-floor spaces kill the vibe. If they can’t see you, you don’t exist.
  • Bright, open, well-designed space
Natural light, high ceilings, smart layout. The kind of place people want to stay in, not just pass through.
  • Stairs, passages, or complicated access
If guests have to hunt you down or climb up to get in — it’s already a no. We’re barrier-free, by design.
  • Strong local mix
Universities, offices, hotels, and locals all within a 300m radius? Perfect. We love a dense, diverse neighborhood.
  • Dead surroundings
North-facing, low ceilings, awkward layouts — anything that kills the natural vibe or flow is a dealbreaker.
  • Outdoor seating & urban vibe
Pedestrian streets, vibrant surroundings, a chill outside zone — where people hang out and The Miners stands out.
  • Dark or badly designed spaces
No offices, no hotels, no students, no locals = no life. We thrive where people live, move, and stay.
